Baraja: "We want to dedicate the victory to the victims and those affected by the 'DANA'"
The coach previews the game against Real Betis
In a video-press conference, Albert Celades gave his verdict on the performance of his side at the Alfredo Di Stefano on Thursday night, looking back on a game that Valencia CF lost 3-0.
The coach said that “We didn't play at a high level in the second half, above all after the first goal. We dropped our level and we struggled in the final stage of the game with the sending off and Coquelin's injury. We had a good first half, but the last half hour dragged on. We leave here sad about the result."
Celades also said that he was displeased with the goal for Rodrigo that was disallowed.
"It seemed like an unfair decision to us and it affected the game. I don't understand the referee's decision; I've seen the move and I don't understand it. It's a situation in which Maxi doesn't touch the ball or interfere with play. We haven't been lucky with VAR all year -even when it is used on our behalf. That move was a blow. Now we have to recover, because on Sunday we have another fight against Osasuna."
When asked about the sending off of Kang In and the various injuries to players, Celades commented that "I haven't seen the footage of the Kang In incident and I can't give an opinion. Maxi had problems at the end of the first half, but said that he could put up with them, and Coquelin went off injured. We don't only leave here with a defeat, but also with several players injured."
"The other day we drew a game in which we had a serious performance, and we could have won. Today we had a good first half, in which we could have gone ahead, but we didn't play well in the final 25 minutes."
